What If An Earthquake Split The earth In Half?
Imagine the possibility that An Earthquake Split The world In Half.
depends on where the earthquake took place. But let’s just say for the sake of this article, it happened right down the middle. Those living closest to the split would completely perish. Anything near would fall directly down into the middle of the earth that is splitting. Cities closet to the split would have such impactful earthquakes and natural disasters, that they too would be demolished, killing anything and everything.

I mean, the split would cause insanely severe aftershocks and smaller earthquakes on both sides of the planet, and when I say smaller, I still mean big enough to destroy absolutely anything. However, is it possible other countries and continents furthest from the split, for example, such as the North and South Pole wouldn’t necessarily be impacted as severely? Well, they might not impacted as badly as those living directly where the split is happening, but still bad enough to destroy any living being. The Earth’s water would be spilling out into space, and of course, the extreme weather, natural disasters, and whatever else would potentially happen would be catastrophic, regardless of where you were living. The impact of a total split in the world would cause such a shock to both sides of the planet, it would inevitably result in the end of human civilization as we know it.
I don’t think anyone would be able to survive such a crazy occurrence. And if somehow, someway they did, well I wouldn’t give them very long to survive. The Earth’s mass would be reduced severely, with pieces of it flying out into space as well. But eventually, it’s believed the Earth, which would be split into two separate planets, would be pulled back together and try to fix itself because of their shared gravitational pull.
But this process would take 100s of thousands, or even millions of years to complete. At first, it would be two pieces of molten rock trying to mesh together. It would lead to a very messy situation of flying debris and asteroids hitting the planets. However over time, eventually, the two sides would mold together and form a smaller planet. The new Earth.
When this happens, our new Earth would still be too hot for any life forms to be able to survive. But after millions of years, the molten hot surface would cool down, and the Earth would start to build an outer shell or crust, of land, just like the one we’re currently living in. This would eventually lead to the possibility of new life forming on the new Earth. Just like evolution, it would most likely start with some form of bacteria, that would, over hundreds of millions of years, develop into a much larger species.
Now as crazy as all of this sounds, we have no way of knowing if this is what happened to our Earth. Maybe hundreds of millions of years ago, there was a civilization just like us that one day, unfortunately, messed up their habitat so badly, that it caused their untimely deaths. We’d have no way of knowing because everything would be destroyed. But thankfully, at least for us, it doesn’t seem like an earthquake is going to be splitting the earth in half anytime soon.
For that to happen, a force so strong would need to somehow shake the earth to its core, and cause it to completely tear apart. I don’t like saying things are impossible, but that’d be a pretty tough thing to accomplish. But with that being said, the way things have been going, well you never know what direction our world is headed in.
